Data Technician- Level 2 & Level 3

We are currently looking for experienced Data Technicians – Level 2 for commercial and industrial structured cabling projects. Position Overview:
• Perform mid-level structured cabling installation work in commercial and industrial environments
• Support installation, routing, termination, testing, and documentation of structured cabling systems
• Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining quality and production standards
• Assist Lead Technicians with project completion, production updates, and jobsite coordination
• Represent the company professionally while working in active construction and occupied environments

Key Responsibilities:
• Install, route, support, and secure CAT5e, CAT6, and CAT6A cabling according to project specifications and TIA/EIA standards
• Perform terminations on patch panels, jacks, faceplates, and other structured cabling components with high accuracy
• Conduct basic cable testing using approved testing equipment and identify issues requiring corrective action
• Assist with installation and dressing of ladder racks, cable racks, backboards, and wire management systems
• Interpret drawings, floor plans, cable maps, and pathway schematics with minimal assistance
• Install outlet boxes, sleeves, fire caulking, and cable penetrations as required by project scope
• Label, document, and maintain accurate cable records throughout installation projects
• Safely utilize hand tools, drills, punch-down tools, snips, testers, and related equipment
• Provide support to Lead Technicians with daily production updates and project documentation requirements
• Identify installation issues and communicate concerns to project leadership as needed
• Follow all safety protocols and participate in required jobsite safety meetings
• Assist with mentoring Level 1 Technicians and Helpers by demonstrating proper installation techniques
What We're Looking For:
• Prior experience in structured cabling or low voltage installation environments preferred
• Experience with CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A cabling, terminations, testing, and cable routing
• Strong understanding of cabling standards, color codes, and termination practices
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, riser diagrams, and pathway plans
• Ability to work independently while maintaining quality workmanship and productivity
• Professional appearance and respectful attitude required on all job sites
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members and leadership
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work on ladders, lifts, and elevated work platforms
• Comfortable working in active construction environments including unfinished, noisy, or dusty job sites
• Reliable transportation required; travel between projects may be required
• Willingness to work overtime or weekends based on project schedules and deadlines
